Dinner at Ben's

 Ben invited us to dinner at his condo.  He's been eating HotPot with his friend quite a bit and wanted to have a go on his own.  He did such a great job and it was all delicious.  He is definitely growing up, it was a little strange!!!!

Week 8 has been a huge step forward.  We got glass block in the bathroom window

Ben's Birthday # 20

 Ben turned 20 today!!!  We went to Half and Half for brunch, it's the first time we've been out to eat for a year and it was great to feel like life was returning to somewhat normal.  It was a big enough occasion that we had to take some photos to memorialize it!!!!

Construction Project #????? Week 7

 We have walls!!!!  The drywall showed up at the beginning of the week, it was hung in next-to-no time and the tapers have been in to finish up.  It's amazing how quickly it can change.  We are still waiting for the glass block in the bathroom, we have had a hole in the wall for a while!!!!

April Visit to MBG

Ben and I went to MBG with Arline.  Everything is starting to bloom-Spring is definitely here.  There were two beautiful beds of ranunculus in the Ottoman garden-they are one of my favourites and they don't plant them very often

They also had beds of daffodils and hyacinth

Construction Project #????? Week 6

We have walls!!!!  The electricians and plumbers are finished (for now) and the drywall has started!!!
 

Construction Project #????? Week 5

Week 5 has been a lot of the infrastructure work and so doesn't look like a lot moves forward, although it did.  We've had a lot of new plumbing added

It took a whole day to add in this extraction for the bathroom fan (our outside walls do not give up easily!!)

New drain for the bath-we have moved the water supply and drain to the other side of the bath

The bath is now upstairs and the framing done for the new glass block

The electricians have been busy too
