Construction project #????? It's finished!!!!

All of a sudden, everything was finished!!!!  There were just a few things left to do and they got done one day after the next.  They brought the shower door yesterday.  I absolutely love it, so much better than a shower curtain.  Maggie is trying to get used to it.  I'm sure she loves the new bathroom

We had been waiting for the glass in these doors for ages, but it finally showed up

We put my Lowry Town Centre picture up on the blank kitchen wall

The refrigerator finally showed up, 10 weeks after we ordered it

After putting everything in the kitchen cabinets, I was surprised that we have more room than anticipated.  We still have plenty of storage room in the cabinet in the basement

And more room in the cabinet in the family room

The majority of our food is now in the back cupboard, I'll see if I can stand having it all there.  It might be less convenient if we have furniture in the family room!!!!!

Ben's trip to L.A.

Ben went to L.A. this past week to visit his half-sister who was adopted from Ukraine.  She is 10 months younger than him and was adopted with her sister about 10 years ago.  Ben found her when he did 23 and Me!!!!  They seemed to hit it off immediately and Ben had such a great time with her family

He stayed with her grandparents (in a house that used to be owned by Clark Gable)!!!!!

Construction project #????? Week 15

 A massive amount got done in Week 15.  Maggie's bathroom is done apart from the glass for the shower door.

We got a shower curtain as a temporary measure so that Maggie can use her own bathroom and not share ours any more

The half bathroom is just waiting for the mirror (being made by the shower door people)

I cannot say how much I love this kitchen.  It came out EXACTLY as I wanted it to.  It feels so much bigger and airy

Our new refrigerator will be delivered on June 23 (we hope)

Maggie's Lego project

I bought Maggie this baby Yoda Lego kit for her birthday.  She put the whole thing together in one day-over 1,000 pieces.
She is so good at spatial projects, it's really amazing

Origami in the Garden

Ben and I met Arline at MBG, we hadn't been there for quite a while.  They have an origami exhibit this year, we didn't see all of it but it's free so we have plenty of time to see it all at some point

Construction Project #????? Week 14

We had some very busy plumbers this past week.  We now have fixtures in the bathrooms

June trip to MBG

We had a great visit to MBG, we don't have to wear masks any longer, which is a relief as it was pretty warm and humid.  There were a lot of flowers when we visited this time.  Their bear's breeches are looking very nice right now, mine are just starting to flower

If this kale grew in my garden, I'd find it hard to cut and eat it as it looks so nice.  I guess if it's in a planter

Memorial day weekend

Ben and Maggie went to Little Rock for the weekend, so Sam and I had the long weekend alone.

 I know I've posted this already, but coming home to new counter tops on Friday night was such a great experience, I'm really happy with them.

I had time to go and get a pedicure, which is always a good thing!!  Sam went out and rode his bike while I was gone

I did quite a bit in the garden.  The strip on the front was really annoying me and so I dug it all up and planted some annuals that Sam and I got from Maypop, it's looking much better now

I dug out some of the plants in the perennial bed, they were getting crowded out and I wanted to give them all a chance to grow equally.  I had planted things that were too tall and it was time to get them out!

I finished get another Baby Grogu and gave it to someone that used to work in the SLU ER

and I replaced my staghorn fern (yet again).  I'll see how long this one lasts!!!!

We also spent a lot of time relaxing and doing absolutely nothing......
