Very little happened this week with the project, but lots of trauma. We had a problem with the drains over the weekend and the plumbers came to investigate on Monday. We are going to have to have the basement floor dug up and the sewer lateral replaced. Not the first time we've done this as we did in our U City house too. They put the project on hold until they looked at the whole issue. Sam and I discussed and decided that we need to wait until they have finished this project before we start on the basement. We just do not have a spare inch to store anything any longer!!!! We might take the opportunity to change some things around in the basement while we are doing that, so maybe we've found a silver lining???!!!!!
Also, they removed the glass block from the bathroom window and repositioned the bricks. That created clouds of brick dust and ruined all Sam's good cleaning at the weekend!!!!
