May visit to MBG

We did our May visit to MBG last weekend.  It was very hot, so we didn't do too much of it.  They have these beautiful palms outside the Linean house right now
These are beautiful, hadn't seen them before
I usually take a picture of this, didn't get a very good one this time
Maggie can't stand by it now!!!!
Poppies (for Mum)
Oh, look out, Ben is smiling.....
Whatever Ben does, Maggie follows!!!!
Maggie loves to sit in this chair in the Ottoman Garden
Lovely cranesbill in the Ottoman Garden
I love these plants, need to find out what they are, I need some
The Bell Tree
I think I need to find a place for Astilbe after seeing these
I want some of these Japanese painted ferns too, look how much they have grown
Arline has been taking a picture of the tree every month
The lilies and irises are all over now, but found this nice clump
Trees are looking great
They are renovating the gate house, the roof is going to be beautiful
The Dragon Arum is blooming and it smells TERRIBLE!!!!!
Maggie (and Ben) by one of the fountains
I love yarrow, pink in particular
These ferns are amazing
We took a walk through the rose garden, but there wasn't too much going on.  I don't think we are going to find anything like the spectacular display in San Diego.
These are perfectly round
The way that our schedules worked out, we will be going 2 weeks in a row for our May and June visits.  We are going tomorrow (Maggie's birthday).  We are having brunch and doing the Children's Garden.

Trip to the City Museum

First week of Summer freedom.  We went to the pool a lot, plus went to the City Museum.  We haven't been there in several weeks.  The roof is now open, which is a whole new reason for celebration.  Ben ran up all the stairs, I took the elevator.  How come he still looks perfect???!!!
Rare picture of Ben (somewhat) smiling at the camera
Maggie is always smiling!!!!
Ben sat up on this cage overhanging the roof
It was this far down......
If my brother can do it, so can I.....
Being in the caves reminds me of how much I hate heights!!!!
Ben doing what he does best these days.....
