Our last P-a-T visit

Our last Parents-as-Teachers visit for Maggie was yesterday morning, another sign that Maggie will be going to kindergarten very soon. Maggie is doing so much better and I am beginning to feel as if she will be able to hold her own once she gets to school. She is beginning to count up to 20 quite successfully, she can do shapes and colours correctly most of the time, but still can't sing through her ABCs.

This morning, Ben offered to show Maggie where everything is at Hudson when she gets to school. Apparently, there are quite a few boys in Ben's school year that have younger sisters that will be starting in August. There is a wide range of responses towards this prospect, ranging from excitement to dread. Luckily, there is not much interaction between 3rd grade and kindergarten and so they don't have to see much of each other during the day if they don't want to.

Congrats to Maggie - sounds like she is doing well... Sammy is struggling to learn and we are getting a whole host of diagnoses that we have not seen. We will continue to work with her...although she is 4, she is cognitvely, socially, etc...about 2 years old.
