One of our ongoing projects in the lab is trying to get umbilical cord blood cells to differentiate into mast cells in culture . Every now & again, we get an EM picture that is unforgettable. Years ago, we had a heart shaped cell that we used on our posters for quite a while. In keeping with the season, we think the nucleus in this one looks like a mother holding a baby. What do you think?
